Let me start by saying that I consider myself to be extremely fortunate in terms of business experiences. I’ve had the pleasure of working with and for some of the greatest brands in the world. From General Motors, to Seagram Spirits and Wine, to T-Mobile, American Express, Absolut Vodka and many more, and doing so from New York to London to Singapore and many places in between.
My career really spans two (very different) decades. From the mid 90’s through 2010, I spent most of my career in the advertising industry in New York City. More than 10 years of that building my own agency (Emerge) from scratch. Something I started only months before 9/11. But we prospered, we had a unique market position, and it was a great run. I built that team to nearly 100 people with offices in NY, Seattle and Rochester, NY before selling it in 2011.
In 2011, growing weary of the ‘corporate world’, I entered franchising, buying licenses for Elements Massage in New Hampshire. Going from NYC to NH was certainly a change in pace as well! For three years I built out two locations, my first being the fastest growing location in the network’s history (at that time).
I sold those franchises to another regional franchisee and started my second company from scratch (Adaptive) – building a platform to help deliver better reporting and analytics to the industry leading point of sale systems in the franchising space. I sold that company in 2021 and stayed on with the buyer to see the integration through.
Now, I am excited to be able to bring all of those experiences to bear in working with my clients as they explore business ownership and the franchise landscape to see if that path can accomplish for them what the job market simply cannot.
In my spare time, I love traveling with my wife Renee. You’ll find us in Bermuda quite a bit every year. Usually on the golf course! I am an avid automotive fanatic, having owned over 50 different cars and am a big sports fan in general.
